This beautiful breed is affected by many painful diseases and conditions and our aim is to bring awareness to Chiari-like malformation (CM, Syringomyelia (SM) and other conditions.

We first heard about SM on the BBC documentary 'Pedigree Dogs Exposed' and were shocked and appalled that dogs are bred into a terrible life of pain. As we watched the program, we did not think we could be so unlucky. Our Cavaliers, Molly and Dougall, were both diagnosed with this and other serious health issued in December 2008.

After the initial diagnosis, it was difficult to gather our thoughts and know where to find help and advice and so this website has been designed to help you find the support you need from people who can provide real help and advice.
