This family is important for the research because the Griffon sire has CM but the Australian Terrier dam does not.

It is anticipated that Chiari-like Malformation (CM) might be transmitted to one or more of the 5 pups in the litter. This inheritance is an important part of our genetic study of CM and SM.

It is essential to accurately phenotype the whole family. The pups will be placed in foster homes so that measurements and screening can be manitained on a long term basis.
